Igreja Batista em Rubem Berta

March 20, 2008

We spent today in Rubem Berta a neighborhood in Porto Alegre.  The ladies participated in the womens ministry and Teresa gave a devotion during this time.  The men walked the streets sharing Christ and inviting people to come to the church tonight.

At the evening service Roxanne, Herb, and Teresa each gave a brief testimony and Jeff preached the Gospel.  He did a very good job.  After the service we distributed the food kits and gave the children Easter eggs filled with candy.  On the way home we gave some of the church members a ride.

Please visit photos.living-bread.org to see the pictures from today.  Also, several children at the church were wearing the new shoes they got through Share Christmas 2007 and I have posted their photos.

Thank you so much for all the pictures; helps us to feel closer to the ministry and the good work you all are doing there. And, makes us humble in our surroundings compared to theirs.
