Hubbard Family Update
April 28, 2008
It has been a while since we gave an update on our family. I usually try to place one in our quarterly newsletter, but it is hard because there is always so much to include that our update doesn't make the cut. This is another nice aspect of the blog.
It has been a very busy year for our family as we have been making the adjustment to having three children. Olivia is growing and she and Tabitha both celebrated birthdays this month. Tabitha is now four and Olivia is one. Patrick will be seven in July. Barbara is very busy taking care of the girls during the day and filling in for me while I have been working a second job. Please keep her in your prayers as it is hard for her to balance everything. Pray for me as well, balancing family, ministry, a second job, and school is very difficult, but we know the Lord is faithful to meet our needs.

Tabitha and Olivia on Olivia's first birthday.
Patrick is finishing up first grade and he is doing very well. He loves to read and enjoys school. He is a bit of a class clown and likes to socialize with the other students. We are very grateful that the Lord provided for him to attend a Christian school.
We have a very busy summer planned. I am taking a one week intensive at Southern Evangelical Bible College in early June. When I return we will be taking a group to Porto Alegre. A couple members of our Board of Directors will be bringing the group home and we will remain in Brazil. While there, Barbara and I will be going to Paraguay to meet with several mission agencies and national pastors about an expansion of LBM into Paraguay. We are very excited about this trip. Praise the Lord we were able to use our airline miles to cover the airfare so we only need to raise $400.00 to cover the cost of the trip.
We will return to the US on July 9th. We are currently scheduling meetings in mid to late July along the southern east coast with churches and pastors to share our vision for Brazil and our plan to enter Paraguay. Please pray that the Lord would open more doors for us during this time. We want to meet with as many people as possible. Also, as I will not be able to work my second job from June 2 until sometime in August we will need to depend on LBM for our family's support. Please pray for this need as well.
We appreciate everyone who prays for us and the ministry of LBM. God is using you to accomplish great things for His glory. We are just happy to be a part of what He is doing. If we can ever pray for you please let us know. God bless.
