Day 1 - Sunday

Well the day started off a little slow. After traveling for so long and with all our delays we were pretty tired. I finally got to sleep around 2:00A.M. Most of us over slept this morning but it all worked out. We went to Igreja Batista Viva (IBV) to feed the children before Sunday school. Then we split up and Pastor Jason and a few others went to Igreja Batista Missionaria (IBM). Jason Challenged the congregation to do their part in reaching the community for Christ. The people responded and gave generously to support church planting in this state.

The rest of the group remained at IBV where Dr. Smither preached a message about bringing others to Christ. The response was blessed and a teenage girl accepted Christ. Others came forward committing to reach out to their community for Christ. Chad also was able to play the drums during the invitation.
It was a great start to our week here. Tonight we will be back at the churches ministering. Please pray for the services and for the team who are getting a little rest this afternoon.
