News on Barbara's Dad
July 3, 2008
Barbara's mom spoke with the doctors today about Enio's condition. The doctor told her that honestly on Sunday they did not expect him to live. As of this morning they said he has improved about 35%, but that there is still a 65% chance that he will not make it. They have been encouraged by his improvement and have removed him from constant dialysis, but he still needs it periodically. They are going to begin removing the machines he is connected to (i.e. respirator, etc.) one by one and monitor him. They do not know if he will recover and if he does they do not know to what extent. If he recovers they say it will take 3 months.
Barbara looked into changing her tickets to come home later, but nothing is available. In addition, the tickets are nonrefundable so to stay we will have to buy new one way tickets on another airline. For now we are planning on returning to the US on Tuesday. Enio is still unconscious, please pray that he would wake up before we leave so Barbara can see him and talk to him. Also, the doctors said to pray that he would remain stable. Any drop in blood pressure or fever would be very bad at this time.
He is not out of the woods yet, but he is improving. Please continue to pray for healing. We pray the Lord will use him to reach the rest of the family with the Gospel.
