A Miracle!
July 7, 2008
Last Sunday, June 29th, Barbara's Dad had less than a 5% chance to live according to his doctor. Today his blood pressure is good, his kidneys are working properly, he is off the respirator, and tomorrow he will be moved from the ICU to a regular hospital room. He is awake and talking, even beginning to eat. According to his doctor Enio's recovery is a miracle! Praise the Lord.
Barbara went to see him today and she said he is very weak, but he is his old self. She said they joked and sang silly songs. He told her that Pastor Magioli came by to see him today. They talked and Pastor told Enio he knew that he was a private man who didn't like to talk to groups, but Pastor asked him to consider coming to the church and sharing his story once he is better. Barbara was floored when her Dad told her that he had agreed to go and speak to the church. I can't tell you how big that really is. Enio told Barbara that he really likes Pastor and his family.
Praise the Lord for a man of God who not only faithfully shares the Gospel in a time of great need, but continues to follow up when things are not as dire. This is why Barbara and I have grown to love Pastor Magioli and his family in the Lord. All three of our Pastors have been wonderful, visiting Barbara's parents and praying with the family, even holding prayer services.
Please continue to pray for Enio to have a full recovery and for the Lord to use this ordeal to reach others with the Gospel. Also, please pray for Barbara as we are leaving tomorrow and I know it will be hard for her to say goodbye. We should be home on Wednesday around lunch time.
I would like to share about the service we had last night in Vila Cefer, but it is after midnight here and we still haven't packed. Lord willing I can share in a few days. God bless.
