Update and Praise
September 19, 2008
We are Pennsylvania right now. I had a very promising meeting today with a Pastor. I am firmly committed to church planting and I believe that if we are going to plant churches we should work through the local church as much as possible. The Lord has opened many doors for these types of meetings this summer and we have been investing in building relationships with Pastor and Mission Teams. We pray that as we near the end of the year and churches begin to consider their 2009 budgets our investment will yield fruit leading to more church plants among the poor of Latin America.
Tomorrow we leave for New Jersey where we will worship on Sunday with the Body of Christ at South Jersey Community Church. The pastor is integrating a presentation of LBM into his sermon. I am excited to see how it works out. Please pray for travel mercies for us, and that the Lord would build partnerships for His glory.
For those of you in the Lynchburg area we are planning an International Coffee and Dessert Reception for Nov 7th. We will be enjoying some worship music and sharing briefly about where LBM is and our vision for the future. We will have desserts from all over the world to sample. It should be good time and I am looking forward to being able to chat with our existing partners and those who would like to learn more about LBM. So please plan to come and invite friend. (Just let us know how many to expect so we have plenty of desserts.) There will be more information to follow. If you are not in the Lynchburg area but would like to host an event like this to introduce LBM to others we would be happy to visit and share with you.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support. God bless.
