Sermon Series

October 15, 2008

Over the past couple of weeks I have been listening to David Platt, a young pastor from Alabama.  I was introduced to his preaching by one of our Board members.  This is one of the best sermon series I have ever listened to.  Many times it has been difficult to listen to and very convicting.  It has also been encouraging and challenging.  I am sharing the links for this series because this man of God has very effectively communicated my heart and burden for ministry among the poor.  Not that I have arrived, but by His grace I will continue to struggle for the cause of Christ among the lost and the poor.

This is only half of the series.  The first message I listened to was the one about Radical Giving, and the Lord humbled me.  I have listed the preceding messages so that you can listen to them in context.

What the Gospel Demands

The Gospel Demands Radical Sacrifice

The Gospel Demands Radical Compassion

The Gospel Demands Radical Urgency

The Gospel Demands Radical Giving

The Gospel Demands Radical Abandonment (Part 1)

I would like to thank Pastor David Platt and the people at The Church at Brook Hills for allowing us to share these messages with you.  To hear more please visit www.brookhills.org.
