Please Pray for Barbara and Her Dad!
March 1, 2009
Several months ago we were asking for prayer for Barbara's dad (Enio) as he was facing death. The doctors had given him about a 5% change to live due to a bacterial infection that was due to a weak immune system from chronic leukemia. The leukemia was under control but the infection was causing his kidneys to shut down. At that time he prayed to accept Christ, but having been miraculously healed and making a full recovery we have not seen the fruit of salvation and are a little concerned.
Anyway, he went for a checkup on Friday and his doctor ordered blood work because he thinks the leukemia has come out of remission. He also has a large growth under his arm. Barbara says it feels about the size of a grapefruit. He goes to the doctor tomorrow to find out the results of the blood work and to do a biopsy of the growth. He is in his 70's and has been through leukemia, skin cancer, prostate cancer, and the infection that nearly took his life. Needless to say he is very worried as logic says the news won't be good.
Barbara's mom who is a devout Catholic has asked Barbara a Baptist to share the Gospel with her dad once more. She plans to share with them both tonight so please pray for her. It seems the Lord is determined to break Enio and we pray that He will.

With the snow, power outage and moving AdZig, we have been so distracted and have not looked at your blog until tonight. Jeff and I will pray and this really weighs heavy on our hearts. We love Barbara's parents so much and we also know the pain that is tearing at Barbara an you. If you have any news or we can do anything on this please email or call

We have not received any of the test results yet but his doctor's impression is that the mass under his arm is not cancer, but we won't know for sure until the biopsy results come back. Her talk went really well with him went really well and she feels much better about his salvation. She shared with him about the next steps. We will see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.
