Headed to Brazil

I am finishing my preparations for our trip to Brazil tomorrow. We will fly out at 1:20 PM and arrive in Porto Alegre at 2:00 PM on Sunday. I am very excited about this trip. We began two new church plants in March and I am eager to spend time getting to know the new believers and the communities they are involved in. I am also looking forward to spending time with our dear friends at the existing churches.
Also, we remodeled the church in Vila Nova and I am excited to see it. We added a baptismal and will have the first baptisms in it in early August. What a blessing to be present for them! We are also going to be planning a future church plant that will launch out of the church in Vila Nova. I am very excited about what the Lord is doing in southern Brazil and grateful to be a part of it.
Please pray for this trip and for safety, the swine flu is spreading rapidly in Brazil; but the Lord is sovereign over all and we trust Him. I will be posting updates and pictures here during the trip, so invite your friends and family to follow along and see what exciting things the Lord has in store. God bless.
